The Sun entered Sagittarius Nov 22nd.After a transformative time in Scorpio where we´ve probably gotten in contact with our more hidden parts we can now begin focusing our energy outwards. The energy is lighter and expansive. These are also times of intensive celebration, socialization and preparation- for Christmas in some parts of the world.
The signs of the zodiac is actually exactly like a calendar that follows the natural cycles of life on earth and the ever changing cycle of light and darkness.
We can clearly see that the suns progression through the 12 signs mirrors what is happening on earth and how we arrange things. The Suns travel through the signs is also a procedure where we are students, of life.
During Scorpio (23/10- 22/11) times we took a journey inwards, probably met some monsters and dusty creatures that we haven´t given any attention to in a while, but maybe also found some treasures of gold that we had forgotten about – treasures of the inside that are easily forgotten in a world that most of the time focuses the energy outwards.
Hopefully we´ve also let go of some old fears now.
With a higher consciousness we can now spread our newfound light. After survival of transformation often optimism and enthusiasm follows. Two words that are descriptive of Sagittarius. Now when we´ve survived we can afford to have faith in the future, canalizing energy in to beliefs and expansion of consciousness. We want to show the world what we´ve learned through our travel inwards in Scorpio! Sagittarius people are often found in occupations that are connected to higher learning, philosophy and beliefs, all kind of teachers and also preachers.
Also the travel industry is connected to Sag, everything that involves expansion of mind and physical movement and expansion.
So why this shift from transformation in Scorpio to expansion of consciousness? Well, what are we people without our beliefs and faith in the future…life would be meaningless without anything “higher” to believe in. Now days many people live in secularized societies but still people light candles, and goes to church in the big holidays of December. Maybe not to pray, but to at least be reminded that there might be something bigger that surrounds us. This can give us hope in the darkness, both the physical darkness of the season and the spiritual darkness that unfortunately also exists in the world today. Sagittarius teaches us that hope is essential for survival.
Sagittarius sign is known as the centaur, a half man half horse creature, this represents that the sign has succeeded on integrating the earthly and the divine, the mortal and the immortal. This is where the higher consciousness rises. With the bow it aims for the ultimate truth. For Sag life is a journey searching for the truth, and probably Sag also says that it´s the journey of finding truth that is the whole point…and fun :) not so much to hit the target.

Mice and men
If you love somebody set them free.
Scorpio times and full moon in Taurus tomorrow Nov 17th. I´ve seen in my near environment power struggles and frustration the last couple of days. I´ve also seen problems concerning money. Scorpio rules others money, and Taurus your own possessions, among those…money :p
Yes there are common traits between the opposite signs Scorpio and Taurus. Both Scorpio and Taurus energy can turn controlling and possessive if not channeled correctly. Taurus possessivness is mainly expressed through the need to control material possessions, but Taurus energy can also turn into jealousy and possessivness in relationships, all depending on how you see the people in your relationships- as humans simply, or as material possessions.
Scorpios need for control, when in unbalanced state, is residing more on the psychological level then the material. The control of emotions, since Scorpio is a watersign – emotions.
These are also passionate times, although the full moon is in earthly Taurus, the sun is still in passionate Scorpio. Passion is good as long as we keep away from possessive behavior. When we believe in the illusion that we own something and can control it, it easily turns into obsession. What we have to realize is that we really don´t own anything, especially not people. You can think that u own material things and the “things” won´t care because they don’t have emotions and they don’t care if u think that u own them or not, but as soon as you think u own somebody or that you have the ability to control someone or a situation in a relationship you´ve slowly started killing the love. Love is an energy , it needs to circulate. It can´t be controlled, it will die then.
Anyone who´ve seen the great and famous movie (a book from the beginning) “Mice and Men” knows what love and controlling acts can do to people and situations when it´s mixed up. Although this is an a little bit extreme example I´d like to use it.
Lennie in the movie is a goodhearted but mentally disabled man who has a thing (a strong thing) for stroking soft things, so whenever he sees something that appears soft to him he has a strong impulse to stroke it. Not at all in a sexual way though. But this urge of him puts him in many difficult situations and even deathly (Scorpio) in the end. (Sorry for ruining the movie now if you haven’t seen it :P) One incident for example: He meets a woman with a beautiful dress very appealing for him to stroke. The woman tells him that he can also stroke her hair if he´d like to. He does that but then she tells him to stop because she thinks he is only messing up her hair. But Lennie doesn´t understand easily because of his handicap. She starts screaming in panic and this makes Lennie even more scared and in panic over making her to stop scream it ends with him killing her, breaking her neck in desperation and confusion. A very sad and touching story.
These Scorpio and Taurus times made me think of this movie, themes like love, death, control and also confusion. For Lennie desperate acts of trying to take control of situations finally killed what he loved. What I want to say is that fear and control is always, always related. The fear of losing control can drive people to the most insane acts weather they are mentally disabled or not.
During this full moon think about what your relationship to possessions are. What is possessions for you and how do you value them. Do you let material possessions own you or do they serve you?
Do you let the love in your relationships flow freely or do you try to control the flow? Scorpio times are times of metamorfos (transformation). Remember that the butterfly was first a caterpillar.
You can also meditate over the lyrics in this song of M. Carey
“When you love someone so deeply
They become your life
It’s easy to succumb to overwhelming fears inside
Blindly I imaged I could
Keep you under glass
Now I understand to hold you
I must open my hands
And watch you rise”
Thinking of Neptune again…Neptunes placement in a persons birth chart always makes me a bit lost, thinking about it and try to interpret it, which is exactly the character of Neptune :P
Neptune can mean dissolved boundaries and fog. The rational mind doesn’t seem to work very well when we are strongly influenced by Neptune. Maybe going through a Neptune phase is like navigating through the fog with your senses instead of using the rational mind. To try to clear the fog with the rational mind is not possible I think when you have to deal with Neptunes power. And that is not Neptunes purpose either.
Somehow I believe that where Neptune transits in your birth chart is a place that needs to be “cleared out” from material energy. It´s an inward motion in that house that wants to explore the spiritual side of being a human and the things connected to that particular house. Neptune forces us to take a look inside of our self to find the answer. Forces I say because this is what happen when Neptune dissolves the boundaries that we sometimes hold to tightly to. When the boundaries and outer structures are dissolved we have no other choice then to look inside of our self to find this something to hold on to inside of our self. Maybe Neptunes lesson is, whatever house it transits, or where it is in the natal chart, to teach us that the material world is not any safer to hold on to then to our inner abilities and intuition. The structures of the material world are fragile, although many people knows this intellectually they/ we still put a lot of effort to build material structures around us. But are those structures more reliable then structures built from the inside of a person?
Every planet comes with its own lessons. And sometimes we have to learn it the hard way.
But Neptune is the least material planet of all, and when it makes a significant transit in your horoscope it won´t care how much you´ve “built” in this area of your life. You find yourself in a fog and the only thing you can hold on to is your senses and intuition. Sometimes it´s a pleasant fog, sometimes the more scary variant. But you will walk through the fog, try to relax, and trust that your senses will lead you to where you are meant to be. And finally you will find yourself outside the fog in a completely new place.
